The virtual production tools In Unreal allow a one for one translation of the camera operator's performance with complete precision. As camera work is a performance craft, it makes sense to use motion capture over manual animation. In summary of the test, making cinematics is much more effective with motion capture, because it is faster than animation, reactive to on set performance and as forgiving as can be in post.
